Life is unexpected. Life is something that should be cherished, every single day. Embrace the people you love and meet in life. They may teach you things when your not even realizing it. Some people come into your life to teach you a lesson, to make you feel more confident in yourself and then disappear faster then you could even imagine. Instead of harping over the negative, focus on the positive in what that person brought to you. You’ll have a better appreciation for yourself and find closure. These past few months have been tough, but I’ve learned a lot. I’ve realized that there is a reason for the people that come into our lives, even if they are taken away from us sooner then we like. Remember though, there is always a reason.

I hope you guys enjoy this new song of mine!

I want to thank Joe Intile and Sean Scanlon for helping me create this song. To Muddy Onion, Jake Ingraham & J P Cluff for taking my crazy vision and making it into something so real and awesome. To Devon Werkheiser and Ashley Jackson for being amazing actors!

“The challenge of life is to take a single strand of dream and from it weave a beautiful reality”

FOCUS

I have been out in LA for now 6 months! CRAZY! In those 6 months I have done so much with music, met so many incredible people, and I am about to embark on a new and really exciting journey in life.

I remember back in college everything felt like it was all in place, I had everything in order, stress came from the 7 page paper that was due the next day, and the final exams that you spent 7 hours studying for. I have always tried to live a positive lifestyle. During college it was easy to stay positive, during high school is was easy to stay positive. I learned all this from my parents. When I moved to LA the “real world” that our parents always told us about came crashing down on me. I realized moving out here meant me being responsible for getting myself a job, paying for rent, keeping myself healthy and productive. This city can be an extremely nice but it can also bring you down sometimes. I have never experienced so many up’s and down’s in my life and it has been harder to be positive but in those times of doubt I remind myself how lucky I am to have a job, to have awesome roommates, to have a place to live, and to have the friends that I do out here. I remind myself of all the things I have accomplished out here. The reason why I named this entry FOCUS is because that is what I am about to do. I am going to build myself a visualization board, print out pictures of what I want in life as a reminder to myself. We are all what we think. Our thoughts are powerful and what we believe we will receive.  I recommend all of you out there who are feeling lost, confused, wondering what to do in life, dig deep, and figure out what you truly want. Print pictures that remind you of all the things you want in life and tape them to your wall so you can see them every single day! THATS WHAT I AM ABOUT TO DO!

TIME TO GET POSITIVE! :D

THON weekend is over. I Spent the past 3 days at Penn State dancing for a cure, a cure for pediatric cancer. I can’t really write in words what it feels like when 15,000 people come together, in the same arena to raise money for pediatric cancer, to dance for a cure, and to give hope to the families of those who have kids who are affected by cancer. I also had the opportunity to perform for all 15,000 people on the last day. My biggest dream in life is to one day be someone’s wish for the Make A Wish Foundation so performing at THON which benefited pediatric cancer was a huge honor for me. SHOUT OUT TO Dan Fratoni who joined me on stage for our last song of “Never Alone.” Dan you did amazing! We raised 10.6 MILLION DOLLARS ALL FOR THE KIDS! Penn State you should be extremely proud!
I can’t wait for next year <3

It’s finally 2012! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE and what a year it has been for me. I’ve gotten to experiences so many amazing things this year and meet some incredible people. One person I met was Dan Fratoni who contacted me after seeing me on The Ellen Degeneres Show. He sent me one of the nicest messages and ever since then we have been friends. He goes to Penn State and told me about an amazing benefit that they do called THON and asked me if I would like to help out. THON is the world’s largest student-led effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. There was no question in my head whether I was going to participate in this event. It was a YES from the beginning. This past December Dan flew out to LA where we collabed on a Lady Antebullum song called “Never Alone.” We shot a video and just recently put it on youtube for the world to see. Our cover of Never Alone will be on itunes shortly and all proceeds will go to THON! I will also be performing at THON this year on Feb 19th. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to perform.

If you would like to donate to THON please visit www.thon.org!

-You can also help out by simply buying this song from itunes (itunes link will be up shortly)

Post this link to your facebook, twitter, tumblr, to get the message around!

I hope to see some of you all THON :))

I’ve been in LA LA LAND for a month now! I have 2 jobs and an apartment with some amazing roomates that I met at karaoke! That being said, I feel like I can finally breathe again, sit, relax and be thankful that I have a roof over my head, a job and a bed to sleep in.

I have made some AMAZING friends in the past 4 weeks. David Michael Frank is someone I met after going to the Tyler Ward show at The Roxy. I am usually intimidated and hold back with new people when it comes to singing but with this kid I literally just sang with no fear and no worries. In the past 3 weeks that I have known him he has become one of my best friends out here and given me a new found confidence in myself. I needed that because for so long I doubted my abilities but being out here has inspired me to be fearless, take chances and not to be scared. Making mistakes, having a bad show, etc are all part of what makes us human. We aren’t perfect. I think for so long I spent so much energy trying to be perfect with singing but now I’ve come to accept that I will make mistakes and that is okay…live and learn!

I finally covered the song Who You Are by one of my favorite artist’s Jessie J. This song means so much to me and has such an amazing message. My friend David Michael Frank, and my cousn Sean are both in this vid!

OHHHH one more thing! I am opening for Jasmine V and Polaris at Noon at The Roxy November 20th! I am SUPER EXCITED!! Here is a link for tickets if you want to come out, I would LOVE TO MEET SOME OF YOU! http://www.ticketweb.com/t3/sale/SaleEventDetail?dispatch=loadSelectionData&eventId=3997745

1 way ticket to LA

About  2 weeks I bought a 1 way ticket to LA. I’ve been here now for almost 2 weeks and this bubble of a city is crazy! The weather is always nice, and the people are friendly as well. I have been job searching for the past 2 weeks in hopes of finding one and then getting a apartment and then WORKING ON MUSIC :)) So if anyone knows anyone who needs a babysitter let them know I am available :) haha

I don’t think it has sunk in yet that I am 3000 miles away from home. I was the kid that couldn’t handle sleepovers and now I am on the other side of the country trying to make it in an industry where practically everyone you walk by wants the same thing as you. It’s overwhelming at times but I am so ready to work harder then I ever had to make this dream come true. Thank you to all that have been supporting me, it really does mean a lot!

I also opened up my gmail account to find a sudden rush on followers on tumblr. So thank you to who ever promoted my page <3

Going to continue job hunting

xoxo
